“Over 50 journalists, communicators and social leaders from Central America participated in the Expression and Communication in Central America seminary organized by the Dutch organization HIVOS. The goal of the activity was to reflect on the current state of liberty of expression in the region. Recognized experts on journalism, columnists and analysts, served as panelists who reflected on the challenges, limitations and opportunities for the right to inform, communicate and be informed,” informed CERIGUA.

James Rodríguez from MiMundo.org participated as a panelist for the section deemed Citizen Media and share his methods, mission and experiences as an independent photojournalist who primarily uses blogs and other Internet outlets to publish alternative news.
